BASS COAST x IDLE WORSHIP // 2025

BIO: “Idle Worship is the moniker of Nathan Panousis, a multi-disciplinary artist located in Edmonton (Amiskwaciy-wâskahikan). His work ranges from tattoos, murals to music and video. He has been an active member of the Edmonton arts landscape for over a decade and has placed a deep emphasis on community building in his time in the public sphere. His latest endeavour Residents.tv showcases both emerging and foundational talent from around Canada.” (We have had the pleasure of hosting a number of Bass Coast Alumni).

The latest expression of his music has taken form in a live set showcasing himself and live vocals from Maya Thornton (Lady Alien) & Bilal Patel. It explores melancholic themes of love, loss and hope and is what he hopes to perform at this years Bass Coast. I have spoken with Kelly Spriggs (Umbral Sound System) about my intentions for the set up and application and we feel this act would be a perfect fit for the Slow Tempo Stage.

His painted work explores and grounds itself within the mythological roots of his Greek heritage. Using a unique visual language and symbol structure, he explores themes of devotion, theory of mind and our relationship to our unique experiences with reality.
